#WhyAviation, a student-led initiative is fronted by NTU Aerospace Society, together with various tietary institutions. #WhyAviation seeks to connect students with like-minded peers, learn from mentors, and seek opportunities with aerospace organisations. This year’s theme for #whyaviation is Sustainable Air Travel, and saw more than 100 student participants and more than 10 aerospace companies participate in this year’s virtual event
Participants had a great time hearing from industry professionals from various sectors of the aerospace industry, such as MRO, engine manufacturers, pilots, training etc during the networking session.
Additionally, #WhyAviation also featured an exciting case study segment that got participants thinking about sustainability in aviation, and how to create a more sustainable tomorrow in aviation, brainstorming solutions to current obstacle in fields such as green fuels.
Last but not least was an extensive line up of industry talks from companies across the aerospace industry. Participants not only got to learn more about the various companies, but also learn about opportunities such as internships.
We hope that all participants had fun and in the process learned more about the aerospace industry, helping to keep their passion for aviation alive through this difficult time.
